The Houses Of Parliament: Tuesday 25th November
The Houses of Parliament were originally built in the 11th century, however, it has only been since the 16th century that it has been the seat for both the House of Lords and the House of Commons.
We saw everything from the Queen's Robing Chamber, where the Monarchs get changed for the State Opening of Parliament, to the Royal Gallery where Prime Ministers and Presidents have stood addressing Parliament.
In the House of Commons, we stood at the dispatch box where Prime Ministers from Winston Churchill to Margaret Thatcher have stood. It was an amazing experience.

Talk From Husnara Begum: Wednesday 8th April 2009
Husnara Begum, the Senior Editor of Lawyer2B and The Lawyer gave members of the law society and school a fantastic presentation. The presentation gave a great deal of insight into the Credit Crunch and how it has been affecting the legal sector. It was a great opportunity for law students to understand a bit more about the economic downturn. It was a brilliant networking event for students as it allowed them to shine out as young academics.
