The Boat Club is based at the University Boathouse at Chiswick.
We take on new members throughout the year including during the summer break. You must be able to swim. You need warm sports clothing during the winter. We can provide wellington boots for getting into the boats. You can come and have a couple of taster sessions before making a decision on joining the Boat Club. Membership of one of the other sports covers membership of the Boat Club.
Beginner sessions can be provided to suit your timetable and the availability of other students. To make progress you initially need to row twice a week.
We work closely with the Quintin Boat Club (one of the old Polytechnic of Central London institute clubs) which is also based at the boathouse. We share equipment and on occasions row in joint crews. For any rowers who progress beyond our current level there is the opportunity to race in more advanced crews with Quintin.
We can also use Quintin’s new gym and their very comfortable bar which overlooks the river.
How to join: If you're interested in trying rowing contact the captain or coach on the email addresses above, who will arrange a training session with you.
