If you have any problems, complaints or suggestions for your course, your course rep is the person you speak to for it to be changed!
Each year of each course at the University of Westminster has at least one course representative (also known as course rep). The course rep is a student on your course whose job it is to enforce change by giving feedback from you all to committee meetings with heads of school, course leaders and specific lecturers. If the issue is large enough, then the course rep will take it up to us here in the Students' Union.
The course reps are elected by students on your course. Course rep elections take place at the start of each term.
As a student rep, you'll have the chance to make a real difference to the student experience, acting as the voice of fellow students at committees and taking part in policy and decision-making processes and structures.
When you start as a course rep you will attend a training workshop; here you will find out more about your role as a course rep and how to make the most of it.
It is really important that, as a course rep, your fellow students know who you are and that they should feed any comments about their course to you.
If you are a course rep you are entitled to claim a £10 allowance when you attend a course committee meeting. To claim your £10 you must fill in a meeting allowance request feedback form online. You need to be signed up to the website and have your course rep password handy to be able to access the form. You can complete the form by clicking here.
Note: We will only provide you with your £10 if we judge your feedback to be of a satisfactory quality
