University Services

The University has a number of services available to all students offering help, support and guidance.

Academic Services
The University's Current Students portal is one of your key online resources, with information and links to a variety of University services and support, as well as details on regulations and procedures.

Accommodation
The University has a Student Accommodation team who give advice and help on finding somewhere to live – whether it's University halls or private accommodation. They are responsible for allocating rooms in the University’s Halls of Residence and can assist you with making an application to live in the University’s Halls.

Careers and jobs
The Career Development Centre is run by the University and offers advice to students on careers and job hunting. It also has a database of jobs and list of volunteering opportunities.

Counselling
The University runs a counselling service which offers one to one and group counselling with any personal or emotional difficulties you may be experiencing including stress, study-related worries, relationship problems and mental health concerns.

Disabilities
If you have a condition that is likely to affect your studies, you are encouraged to disclose it as soon as possible and register with the Disability Learning Support team, to make sure that your needs can be assessed and appropriate arrangements made in plenty of time.

Faith and spirituality
The University's faith advisors offer personal and spiritual support to students of all faiths through prayer, advice, information and links with local faith communities.

Health
The Student Health Service provides urgent treatment and health advice for most ailments, injuries and ill health, as well as help and advice relating to disabilities and chronic problems that might affect your studies or university life. They also offer sexual health advice and give out free condoms.

The service has 3 nurses - 2 at Marylebone Campus and one at Harrow Campus. They are available during university hours (term time only) and can deal with most illnesses or injuries.

International students
The International student advice service can provide help to overseas students before they arrive at Westminster and during their time at University. The University also organises an International Student Welcome Programme which helps students settle in when they arrive.

Money and other practical issues
The University’s Student Advice Service has a team of specialist Student Advisors who provide a range of information and advice on financial and practical issues - including student funding, budgeting, tuition fees, living costs, Visas and work permits, social security benefits, tax and national insurance.

School Registry Offices
Your School Registry Office is your regular point of contact for a range of student administration matters, including enrolment and module registration, coursework and exams, change of address, letter requests and Council Tax Exemption Certificates.
 
Each School Registry Office has its own Blackboard site with a range of information - including important announcements, exam timetables, course handbooks, and details of their opening hours.
