Education & Representation
Education and representation are fundamental parts of our work. We are here to improve your university experience.
What we do?
We look after your educational needs so if you have a problem with your course, lecturer, tutor, library, or pretty much anything, then we will represent YOU to the University to get students the changes that are needed. In this section of the website you can check out our education goals and policy for the year, find your course representative, watch many of our videos on education and much more. We also have plenty of videos and tips to help with study skills, employment, finance etc.
How do we do it?
We use a variety of sources including:
• The National Student Survey
• Feedback from course representatives
• Research from focus groups
• Plus others
This is done to inform our representation goals and policy for both the short and long term. Your elected representatives sit on some of the biggest decision making committees of the University to ensure that YOUR voice is always heard.
How you can get involved?
There are a number of ways you can get involved with our representation work:
• Becoming a course rep or passing your views to your course rep
• Joining our research pool
• Standing in the elections for an elected post
• Contacting one of your elected officers
• Or simply give us a call or drop us an email
