Welcome to the SU Environmental & Ethical Pages.

University  of Westminster Students' Union is determined to work with the University to improve our Environmental Performance, and are in the middle of starting up a People
& Planet group.

Making sure that we act in a environmentally and ethically aware way is really important to the Students' Union.  We're committed to being a responsible and sustainable organisation, and you can see our Ethical & Environmental Policy here by clciking the link below

In order to make sure that we are being responsible, we take part in the annual Sound impact Awards, which benchmark our performance and give us challenging targets for our Carbon Footprint and energy use.
 
We're pleased to be able to report some highlights from this year's audit:
 

• We now recycle all of the glass used in our Venues
• We recycle all of the packaging we can used in our shops
• We only use Fair-trade tea and Coffee in our Offices, and soon you'll be able to buy Fair-trade Hoodies in our shops
• We've joined the Sound Ethical Choice scheme to promote ethical options in the shop
• We've set up a new Ethical & Environmental Committee to implement the targets in our Ethical and Environmental Policy
• We're setting up a new People & Planet society to ensure that we carry on improving our performance and work with the Uni to make the campuses as environmentally sound as possible.
