The Health Service provides urgent treatment for most ailments, injuries and ill health. They offer advice on chronic problems and disabilities which may affect your studies or university life. Advice is given on vaccines, sexual health and contraception (free condoms are given out), and have introduced free Chlamydia testing. Dentistry and lifestyle issues (like anxiety, homesickness, flat sharing and nutrition) can also be advised on and discussed. It is a nurse-run service, so to see a doctor you must make an appointment via one of the nurses. The service is open during university hours, term time only.
